This 34,595 acres national park is a volcanic
massif of which the burnt-out Santa Maria (6,255 ft.) and
the gently active Rincón de la Vieja (6,220 ft.) that
last erupted in November 1995, are the highest volcanoes.
Experience the fascinating fauna and flora that changes from
wet and dry to cloud forest; geysers, boiling mud pools, fumaroles
and hot sulfur springs will take you into the magic world
of Rincón de la Vieja!
