Barva
Volcano: There are three volcanic buildings in the Braulio
Carrillo National Park. One of them is the Barva (2906 m.),

The Barva Volcano remains undiscovered by tourism. The park entrance is located in Sacramento, a small village north of the town of Barva. A 4x4 vehicle is needed to get from Sacramento to the ranger station. An exciting day in the tropical cloud forest is guaranteed, lonely and tranquil with an impressive flora and fauna. Foggy climate is common and adds to the special atmosphere of the cloud forest.
