Albuergue La Catarata is a rustic and cozy lodge, near the La Fortuna waterfall, with view to Arenal Volcano. The lodge offers 9 simple but clean rooms in cabinas, private bath/hot water and restaurant. It has its own medicinal plants garden, a butterfly graden and a breeding station for mammals of the region that are in danger of extinction. The project is managed by 11 local families, funded by the WWF Canada.

The lodge is located in the first third of the 8 km long road between the village La Fortuna and the entrance of the National Park Arenal. The Sarapiquís Rainforest Lodge, built in the style of a pre-Colombian, indigenous village, is located on the main road between La Virgen and Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui amidst tropical gardens at the Río Sarapiquí.
Three of four conical Palenque style buildings which are covered by palm tree leafs, include 8 spacious and comfortable guest rooms each. The rooms are tastefully decorated in a harmonious array of earth tones, natural Laja stone and antique or artisan made furniture. All rooms are equipped with private bathroom/shower, ceiling fan, telephone and covered terrace with hammocks. Built in 1985, Selva Verde Lodge is located at the river Sarapiquí, about 6km west of the town of Sarapiquí. A private tropical rain forest reserve is part of the Lodge. The Cloud Forest Lodge is situated approx. 2 km outside of the village of Santa Elena, Monteverde, surrounded by 30 hectares of primary and secondary forest with 5km of private trails. The hotel offers a total of 20 rooms which are accommodated in 10 bungalows and come with private bath, hot water, one double and one single bed and wooden-furniture. The main building houses a restaurant, bar, television room and large balcony, where guests can enjoy spectacular sunset views over the Gulf of Nicoya.

Celeste Mountain Lodge is nestled in between 2 volcanoes (Tenorio and Miravalles) on the outskirts of the Tenorio National Park. It is an innovative eco lodge in a modern, contemporary design that uses natural materials. The Celeste Mountain Lodge possesses 3 hectares of green, fertile land and 4 hectares of protected primary forest. The lodge is surrounded by deep jungles and protected areas. The lodge also has a covered garden with a “tropical” hot tub and a reading area with chimney. This lodge is unique because of the wildlife that can be observed around it e.g. toucans, butterflies, and large mammals such as tapir whose footprints are often found around the property. La Carolina lodge is situated in the northwestern outback of Costa Rica and offers 170 acres of land. 4,500 feet are riverfront, with a backdrop of rich, tropical forest: toucans, squawking green parrots, and hummingbirds are just a few of the birds nesting in the jungle canopy. The ranch is also home to many tropical mammals like sloths, anteaters, kinkajous and coitis, as well as giant butterflies, bromeliads, wild orchids, and other flora. Approximately 85 acres are dedicated to pastoral farmland for our cattle and horses, citrus groves and vegetable gardens, whose harvest are used for the meals. From the hilltops, one has stunning views of the neighboring volcanoes, Tenorio and Miravalles.The lodge overlooks a fresh water river and lush tropical forest. For sunbathing and swimming there is a wooden deck built over a natural, crescent pool fed by a river. Next to this river there is a fire-heated tub, perfect for relaxing. Only limited access to electricity is given: at night candles and oil lanterns are lightning the surrounding. Accommodation categories range from lodges over houses to cabins: The main lodge suites families and groups (up to 11 guests) and is equipped with 3 private double rooms, 1 large room with 1 double bed and 3 single beds as well as two bathrooms, hot water showers, and a sitting area with a small library. The private house on the hill accommodates up to 6 people, it has 3 double beds, a bathroom, a porch with table and hammock overlooking the lodge and the river. The private “honeymoon” cabin is located right at the river, and has a queen size bed, a private bathroom, fireplace and a porch. It is suitable for 2 persons. The private cabin behind the lodge consists of a double bed, a big private bathroom and a fireplace. The secluded private house is a 10 minute walk from the lodge and reachable by 4x4 in the dry season. It has 2 separate bedrooms, kitchen, a private bathroom and a big porch. The large private house overlooks the gardens and the main lodge, has one queen size bed, a double bed and two single beds. There is a living room with a couch and fireplace, a private bathroom and porch.

The Heliconias Lodge is located at the border of Bijagua, at the run outs of Volcano Tenorio and has its own private park, just beside the National Park. The 6 rustic rooms have private bathroom with hot water and offer space for 24 guests. They offer several day tours in the neighborhood, for example to Rio Celeste.
